RISE OF THE JACK O'LANTERNS

The most family-friendly of the Halloween attractions I’ve done thus far this year, Rise of the Jack o’Lanterns was more of an exhibit than anything else. In the darkened hall at the LA Convention Center, they lined the walls with multi-pumpkin designs, and filled the inner hall with single-pumpkin designs. With LEDs illuminating the art, the genres were grouped together. They had cars, super heroes, dinosaurs, Dia de los Muertos and Disney, among others. I was really hoping for an Evil Dead pumpkin and I wasn’t disappointed! The multi-pumpkin designs were very impressive, but I appreciated the work that went into the single-pumpkin designs as well. I don’t think I would need to go to this event again anytime soon, but it was worth going the once to see how creative and talented people are.
